A day at the beach
Sand, sunscreen, and waves seen from a safe distance first: a full beach day broken into steps that never force the water on anyone.
The steps, one by one
- I put on my swimsuit and sun hat.
- I pack my beach bag with a towel and toys.
- I walk onto the sand.
- I set up my towel under the umbrella.
- I put on sunscreen.
- I dig in the sand with my bucket and shovel.
- I walk to the water's edge.
- I look at the waves from the shore.
- I rinse off and dry with my towel.
