Watching fireworks
A safe distance, headphones ready, and full permission to cover ears or look away at any point: fireworks night without the dread.
The steps, one by one
- I put on my noise cancelling headphones.
- I bring my blanket to sit on.
- I sit far away from the loudest fireworks.
- I watch the first firework light up the sky.
- I squeeze my parent's hand if it's loud.
- I can cover my ears anytime.
- I watch the fireworks finish.
- I walk back to the car when I'm ready.
